German Throwdown Classic 2024: A True Test of Fitness

Welcome to the 10th annual German Throwdown Classic, the pinnacle of elite fitness competition in Germany. Experience the thrill of a diverse range of challenging workouts—from gymnastics and weightlifting to endurance and highly coordinative movements—brought to life by athletes worldwide. Competition Overview

Our two-stage competition begins with an online qualification phase, opening in June 2024 for individual athletes, and July 2024 for teams. Top athletes will secure their place at the grand finale in Mainz, Germany, on October 5th - 6th, 2024.

Registration is open to athletes from around the globe seeking a formidable challenge. Minimal equipment requirements ensure everyone has a chance to compete. For more details, visit our website. 

Divisions and Prizes

We welcome athletes across various divisions—Elite, Master, Intermediate, and Teen—as well as Elite and Intermediate Teams. Our prize pool, exceeding 20,000€, varies per division, ranging from cash awards to non-cash items from our sponsors.

• Elite: Online Qualification, 6+ final workouts, Prize Pool: >10,000€ in Cash
• Master: Online Qualification, 5+ final workouts, Prize Pool: >4,500€ in Cash
• Intermediate: Online Qualification, 5+ final workouts, Prize Pool: Non-Cash Items
• Teen: Online Qualification, 5+ final workouts, Prize Pool: Non-Cash Items (parental waiver required)
• Elite Team: Online Qualification, 5+ final workouts, Prize Pool: >2,500€
• Intermediate Team: Online Qualification, 5+ final workouts, Prize Pool: Non-Cash Items

Registration and Online Qualifiers

Take the first step to earning your place at the finals by registering for the online qualifiers. Workouts and standard videos will be published over two weeks. All scores need to be submitted within 10 days after the workout announcement. This competition is open to international athletes, with workouts performed at a location of your choosing.

• Individual Athlete Qualifiers: Registration is open until 05th July 2024, 12:00h (CEST)
• Team Qualifiers: Registration is open until 2nd August 2024, 12:00h (CEST)

Early Bird (until 2 weeks before first workout announcement):

• Elite, Intermediate, Masters: 24,90€
• Team: 99,90€
• Teens: 10€

Standard Price (last 2 weeks before first workout announcement):

• Elite, Intermediate, Masters: 29,90€
• Team: 119,90€
• Teens: 14,90€

Late Price (after first workout announcement):

• Elite, Intermediate, Masters: 34,90€
• Team: 139,90€
• Teens: 19,90€

The Grand Finale

The finals will take place on October 05th - 6th, 2024, at Halle 45, Hauptstraße 17, 55120 Mainz, Germany. A select number of athletes across all divisions will receive invitations to the finals, including those awarded Wildcards, who bypass qualification and receive a direct invitation.

The following numbers of athletes (including Wildcards) will be invited to the finals after the online qualification: 


• 30 Elite Male and 30 Elite Female

• 10 Master Male 35 and 10 Master Female 35
• 10 Master Male 40 and 5 Master Female 40
• 10 Master Male 45 and 5 Master Female 45
• 5 Teen Male and 5 Teen Female
• 10 Intermediate Male and 10 Intermediate Female
• 20 Elite Team
• 20 Intermediate Team

The fee to enter the final will be 179.90€ for Elite, 169.90€ for Masters & Intermediates, and 479.90€ for the Elite teams. The fee for Teen athletes will be 59.90€, and the fee for Intermediate teams will be 419.90€. All prices include VAT. Please note that Competition Corner will add a processing fee.

Überblick über den Wettbewerb

Unser zweistufiger Wettbewerb beginnt mit einer Online-Qualifikationsphase, die im Juni 2024 für Individuals und im Juli 2024 für Teams startet. Die besten Athleten sichern sich ihren Platz beim großen Finale in Mainz, Deutschland, vom 05. bis 06. Oktober 2024.

Registrierung und Online-Qualifikationen

Mache jetzt den ersten Schritt und registriere dich für die Online-Qualifikation, um Deinen Platz im Finale zu verdienen. Workouts und Standardvideos werden über einen Zeitraum von zwei Wochen veröffentlicht. Jedes Workout-Ergebnis muss innerhalb von 10 Tagen nach der Bekanntgabe des Workouts eingetragen werden. Dieser Wettbewerb ist offen für internationale Athleten und die Workouts können an einem Ort Deiner Wahl durchgeführt werden.

• Einzelathleten Qualifikation: Registrierung offen bis 5. Juli 2024, 12:00h (CEST).
• Team Qualifikation: Registrierung offen bis 02. August 2024, 12:00h (CEST).

Das große Finale

Das Finale findet vom 05. bis 06. Oktober 2024 in der Halle 45, Hauptstraße 17, 55120 Mainz, Deutschland, statt. Eine ausgewählte Anzahl von Athleten aus allen Kategorien erhält eine Einladung zum Finale, einschließlich derjenigen, die eine Wildcard erhalten.

Die folgende Anzahl an Athleten wird in der jeweiligen Kategorie zum Finale eingeladen (inklusive Wildcards):
